I thought Calpernia here made quite a nice verbal argument for her case through her use of sarcasm. Just thought it was a good example of clever oral rhetoric in my opinion.
Came across this and thought it was kind of topical with what we discussed a few weeks ago.
I'm going to go ahead an just link this because it exceeds PG language, but has anyone else come across this image yet? This is a good example of just how viral campaigning (from third party computer users) has gotten. I can't stop laughing when I see this, especially when I get to the last few lines of reading it aloud.
A friend of mine directed me over to this and it reminded me of some of the humor strategies we talked about in class today. I think they just did it to point out the silliness of it all, and I thought you guys might appreciate the humor here, as well.
Has anyone heard about this yet? It's incredible that this case is leading to such benefits. I wonder if that could lead to everyone undergoing a procedure to crank up the intensity and current of the electrodes in the mind to create science fiction visions of the future.
I am going to write my paper about how the AFI Official Message Board (specifically the 10th Circle, a subforum for off topic discussion) discusses animal cruelty in relation to eating or shopping habits. This came about because the topic is so frequently argued there. Should be interesting!
