Clay Spinuzzi's Courses

The major project of the semester is a pair of qualitative studies that class members will execute as a team. These projects involve the following:

• Reading the human subjects forms for both studies.
• Signing onto the studies once your online IRB training is done.
• Selecting one study to be your primary study.
• With your team, contacting participants in the study and having them sign consent forms.
• Collecting data as described in the IRBs.
• Analyzing data based on the readings you've done.
• Presenting a group-authored seminar paper at the end of the semester.

We will discuss progress on these projects weekly during the semester, and each team will provide feedback to the other. The resulting seminar papers will thus be coauthored by the entire class.
