Here are my tips for making group work go smoothly:
- Assign each member a particular job.
- 1 person for each example (finding it and putting it on the wiki)
- 1 or 2 people in charge of the presentation
- 1 or 2 people in charge of formatting the wiki (making it look nice)
- 1 person to come up with definition of the type of argumentation
- 1 person to think about how to transition between the examples
- Everyone in the group should read the chapter of Good Reasons about the group's type of argumentation
- Schedule a time when the whole group can get together and discuss the content of the wiki and presentation
- Exchange phone numbers and emails so you can communicate easily
- Discuss whether or not the group is comfortable with editing each other's writing on the wiki
One last thing: If two people in the group come to me and say that the third person is not doing their share of the work, that person will become their own group. I will assign them their own argument method to create a presentation and wiki for.
