protest anyone?

anyone want to go camp up in a tree or something this weekend in protest to this? anyone? anyone?

article on Rice's visit

okay so... something to read that gives a little bit more. cnn.com is updated frequently too.

israel and leanon

i've been following this kinda closely actually. the pictures on the link are horrific. what is really shocking is that the U.S. really wanted to wait until asking for a cease fire to let Israel really try to stifle Hezbollah. it disgusts me. i know that Israel is taking blows and casualties too but it's a lot less than Lebanon. Some in the Lebanese government are affliated with Hezbollah but Elizabeth is right that they really have no control over the group. Hezbollah says that it will continue fighting and not release their prisoner until Israel agrees to a prisoner exchange. Israel is now waging war on two fronts and killing civilians and peace keepers even.

stem cell and bush

okay. so bush has vetoed a bill that would have helped increase federal funding for stem cell research. here's the article on cnn.com

hillary's 2.1

mmk. here's my paper. be nice?

paper 1.2

so i went to spiderhouse to fix this paper today and it started raining and i had to stay there for two extra hours after i finished. i hope that that merits a good grade. it was a real sacrifice.

media choices

Today when Chris gave his opinion on the value of holding media in front of oneself I at first thought that he was pretty alone in that opinion. Then when sitting here thinking of my media choices I realized that i use few that are considered conventional now such as, the internet. With the exception of Natalie Dee, I cannot label myself as much of an internet-surfing person. I too value the hardcopy. I do not value much of the media today. My media is my books of the photography of the late Richard Avedon and poetry by e.e.cummings. With the exception of the O.C. and In These Times (A liberal magazine for which my favorite author, Kurt Vonnegut, is an editor), Natalie Dee, and a horde of indie films little modern media has crept into my life.

paper 1.1

um... we all procrastinate right?

um yea, my notes too

i completely missed the turning in of notes somehow. i'm not sure how. i hope this counts as turning them in... i swear i did them last night. they are probably done incorrectly... i apologize.
