On the left margin of the page, in your navigation menu, if you're logged in, you will see a "create content" link. Clicking that will produce a screen with your options, although you'll only have one: "blog entry." Click that, enter a Title (which is the text that will be listed under our "recent blog posts" menu in the right margin, which means you want to provide a clear idea of the content of your post, but you also want to keep it fairly succinct, and maybe a little clever), and then enter the Body of your post. Click Preview or Submit to continue, and if you choose to preview your post, make sure to click Submit on the next screen, so the post will appear.

Note that you can use a selection of HTML tags to format your text. <em> creates italics; <strong> renders the text in bold type. You can also include links. And if you don’t know HTML, click the More information about formatting options link.
