Dear class,

Now that everyone is partnered up, we are finally ready for you to respond to your partners at Worthing High with your own introductions.

Using the online discussion forum at the SPURS homepage, please respond to your partner by logging in, clicking on the link to your partner's introduction, and then selecting "add new comment."

In your response, you'll first probably just introduce yourself by noting your name, home town, major, and year of study (e.g., sophomore). Then, you might spend some time discussing your major and/or your academic interests: what they are, why you chose them, what classes you have taken, and where you might go with them. You might also discuss some of your favorite classes to date, perhaps both inside and outside of your major. However, let's focus on the positive: no horror stories about deranged professors or classes from hell (we don't want to terrify anyone . . . at least not yet). You might also discuss your hobbies and extracurricular activities. In fact, feel free to share more about yourself; if you wish, you might even discuss some of the questions they answered (about your dream job, for example, or where you see yourself in five and ten years).

Finally, be sure to encourage your partners to respond with similar information about themselves and their academic interests: favorite subjects, classes, books, etc. Just definitely encourage them to respond with something. Let's try to keep the correspondence as active as possible!

Other than that, just be yourselves.
